Unabridged Audiobook
Firstly, bravo to the narrator! I loved the variety of accents, especially the use of British dialects to distinguish the character’s personalities. I fell asleep listening at one point simply because the main narrator’s was so soothing lol. Narration aside, this was a juicy short story that I appreciated listening to. I loved the 80s nostalgia that others mentioned, the references of Live Aid, reminiscent of Freddie Mercury’s time with Queen. I randomly selected this audio book not realizing it was part of a series. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
The book was Kennedy Family-esque, the narrator’s sing song-y voice wasn’t very pleasing for 10 hours and the story lacked an exciting plot. A beach read perhaps
