The Case of the Time-Capsule Bandit
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Date: October 2013
Duration: 4 hours 29 minutes
Randi Rhodes is a born and bred city girl. She takes karate and idolizes Glenn Street, the fictional detective who stars in her dad's books. She even uses her name when she solves all the petty crimes in her Brooklyn neighborhood. But when her father decides to move them permanently to Deer Creek, Tennessee, Randi is not happy. Visiting in the summer is one thing, but living there year round? No thanks!
But Deer Creek turns out to be more exciting than Randi expected. The town's Founder's Day Festival is coming up and they are expecting a big guest (Really really big. Commander in Chief big!) and they need everything to be perfect, which includes opening the time capsule that was buried two hundred years ago. Everyone is expecting a big treasure that could save many of the struggling businesses. But before they even get the chance, the time capsule is stolen!
Randi is thrilled to have something to do and she loves nothing more than solving crime (when not practicing to be a ninja) but this case is tougher than she thought. With the help of her new friends D.C and Pudge, Randi is determined to save the Founder's Day Festival and along the way realizes that she may be a country girl too.
