Summary
How do you confess to the man you love that you're a cat?

After a few centuries as a cat, waking up human can be pretty disorienting. In fact, it's amnesia producing.

Alain doesn't remember being feline, or more important that he was really a witch's familiar and a primary protector of his master and community.

He does remember how to wash his face with a licked hand, how to lie in rays of sun on the floor, and how to lift a leg, attempting to apply his tongue to more private parts.

He also remembers that he likes men-especially Luke, the sexy vet who finds Alain naked in a pile of dogs and cats.

Evil's closing in on the community he's cared for, but Alain can't remember how to defend them. And if he does remember, he has to confess to Luke that the man he loves-is a cat.

This is the third and final book in the series. It can be enjoyed as a standalone although I do recommend reading it in the series order since Aloysius plays an important role in the previous two books of this series. I absolutely adored this book. It has to be the most awaited and favorite book in this entire series. It was nice to have the focus on Aloysius for once. He had me all sorts of intrigued when we get to see him in book 1. The storyline was interesting and the characters were likeable and well fleshed out. Kirt Graves performed an amazing audio delivery and narration. Really an amazing listen overall.

This book is a gem! Man, I have loved Aloysius, the most powerful familiar and a proud cat, from the previous book and I’m so delighted and happy that he got his own book. Alain became a human after unexpectedly being lay blasted by a powerful witch. Now human, very naked and without memories, he knew he was very different from the humans he comes into contact with. And the man who rescued him, Luke the vet, knew Alain may be the most special stray he’s ever rescued in his cozy and comfortable life as an animal lover and a vet. When the past and the future collides, Alain knew he must make a choice. He can’t see people he loved and cares for get hurt but at the same time if he turns back into a cat, will he and Luke have a happy ending they’ve always wanted. It’s funny, sweet, heartwarming and lovely. I liked how feline and coquettish Alain can be at times. His actions as a feline are so accurate and fluffy that I loved every second listening it. Luke is such a sweetie too. And the whole background story of witches and the war is very interesting. All in all, a really great story to listen. And full marks for Kiet Graves’ narration. It was just spectacular. 4.5 You make me purr stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Saved the best for last! I loved getting to know Alain and his new life and what he was like before he became the most powerful familiar. I loved the connection between Alain and Luke! Luke is so sweet and attentive and my goodness there is so much more to Luke than meets the eye. I do wish Luke's past was more explored but I got the general gist. Their connection was there from the start and I loved the way they embraced their connection, their unique banter, and the way Luke just rolled with all of Alian's weird, cat-like quirks. I loved getting to follow up with the rest of the gang. I really like the way this series was written in that each book is about one couple but the rest of the gang was mentioned, followed and some chapters were even written from their point of the view, manly Killian & Blaine and I loved learning more about the magical world and current challenges they face ion each story. I wish there were more stories in this world and all these awesome couples! A really unique and interesting series!! Highly recommended

Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2020 I am a big fan of this series and here we get a great conclusion. If you are a cat person, you will love reading about how a human attempts to carry on everyday cat behaviors and might startle your cat with a laugh here and there. The romance was pretty much love at first sight but that didn't bother me in the context of a story like this with all its magical elements. Loved the main characters, loved seeing Al get his HEA and loved the mix of romance, magic and fighting evil. Kirt Graves gives a wonderful performance here. He captures all the emotion but also picks up the humor.

Oh, but I really liked this one. But it's all about Aloysius, so it was to be expected :P I really liked the initial twist that allowed Aloysius to go on an adventure of his own and in doing so to find love *grins* The general plot is related to the events from the previous book Brush with Catastrophe and it runs almost like a background from 2/3 of the book mostly as a way to bring Aloysius/Alain's protective instincts up-front and to make him wonder why this is happening, and what's his real story. There is also a sub-plot involving Luke's past and there is quite a bit of danger involved. The romance between Aloysius and Luke is really funny and mostly lust-driven... which is very understandable in this context. And there is also a wonderful battle and a very satisfying resolution. I really liked ♥

The Transformation of Aloysius (an audio review) The expression is that it’s a dog’s life, but I have to say cats do okay. Lying around lazily in the sun, cuddles when they want and being left alone when they don’t, not having to go out in the heat or cold to do their business, three square meals, and the ability to do pretty much whatever they want. They say dogs serve humans while humans serve cats. I am companion to both a cat and a dog, and I can attest to all those things being true. So if you’re a cat who’s been a witch’s familiar for hundreds of years, with magical powers, why would you want to become human? Well, a bolt of energy might jolt you into that transformation. Without memories of your past, though, and being completely naked, what’s a man to do? Fall in love with his rescuer? Alain instinctively understands he’s different. He knows what animals want. He’s protective of strangers who seem familiar. He wants to clean his genitals with his tongue. Luke knows Alain is special. Not only is the man hauntingly beautiful, he’s in tune with the animals Luke cares for. As a vet, Luke is used to dealing with stays. And Alain is the most attractive stray he’s ever met. He brings the man home and offers him shelter while trying to resist the allure of those blue cat eyes. Now, this is book three in the series so Ryder, Sammy, Blaine, and Killian all make important appearances. Seems the witches are determined to take control once and for all, and the men have to fight to keep evil at bay. And Alain? Or rather Aloysius? He can’t stand by and watch those he cares about get hurt, but if he transforms back to a cat, he’s risking hurting the man he’s fallen in love with. I enjoyed this book. Even more because of Kirt Graves’ narration. His cat and dog noises are adorable. So is most of his work with the series – he was the perfect choice for these books. Now, this book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, but there’s more enjoyment if you listen to them in order.

Aloysius is a witch’s familiar until he is not anymore. A powerful with has turned him into a human names Alain. He wakes up in a veterinary office surrounded by other animals. Luke is the mysterious veterinarian. He does not like people as much as he loves animals. He finds a beautiful naked man surrounded and playing with his boarded animals. I do not want to give anything away, but this was a really good story. Loved all the additional side characters. Loved it!!! I got the opportunity to listen to the audio of this book, fantastic!! Kirt Graves did a fantastic job with the narration!!

I absolutely loved this book/audiobook. It is the best of the series and a fantastic conclusion to the story of Kilian, Blain, Ryder, Sammy, Jimmy, and Lavender, plus newcomer Luke, and of course, Aloysius. I loved the interactions and camaraderie of the characters, and the steamy love scenes between Alain/Aloysius and Luke. I thought this was a perfect ending for everyone. The narration by Kirt Graves is the best. He absolutely nails perfect voices for the different characters and really brought them all to life. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Cataclysmic Shift (Audiobook) MMy Thoughts & Confessions: Aloysius Tales Three starts with a bang, quite literally, which lands the powerful Witches’ Coven leader’s familiar in the local vet’s office. It is here that Aloysius wakes to find himself naked, alone, and with only fragments for memories. Thankfully, the vet, Luke, thinking Al just a young man in need of help, like he once was, has a desire to see the beautiful Young man restored to his family and friends, whomever and wherever they may be. However, Luke is constantly looking over his shoulder in fear of a past that will find and take revenge on him one day, for escaping its clutches, a year ago. With both their fractured souls in their hands, Luke and Alian are purrrrfect for each other. They just might achieve that HEA we long for them to have IF they can keep rival covens, bad guys with guns, and their own hearts open to each other. That can be tricky when both Men have secrets, and those secrets can get them killed at any moment. Book Three was a lot less heavy than Book Two had been. The MCs, and secondary cast (including all the animals) helped give this story a much lighter feel. I have enjoyed this audio series immensely and I am sad this is the last book in the series. If you enjoy gay paranormal series where the cast of characters extends over into each book, you will love this audiobook series. Kurt Graves is incredible as the narrator. The Story: 5.00

I enjoyed the listen. There were a few things that I wasn't a fan of, and that took me out of the story when they happened. They're my things, though, so I won't harp on them. Mainly some stiffness and word choices for private parts. The narrator did a good job. Overall, it was a satisfactory conclusion. I really enjoyed the series.

Fantastic 3rd book , best of the series. SPOILERS****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Alain (Aloysius) is knocked unconscious, only to wake up nude and human in a Vets office. Luke the Vet stumbles over a naked Alain when he goes to check on the animals that are kept overnight. It is funny to watch Alain try to remember who he is, but he loves to purr and lick his balls. All whilst falling for the cute Vet Luke and trying to keep danger away from Killian, Sam and Luke. Reality hits when he is striked down by the female witches in front of Luke. Now another human knows about Witches. Amazing story and narration

Fantastic third installment, Aloysius gets his own story. Full of action and twists in the tale, it kept me spellbound. With more trouble from the European covens. With quite a few of the characters appearing from the first two books, I think it works best to listen/read in the correct order. Kirt Graves did a great job narrating.

A highly enjoyable, enormously satisfying end to Tara Lain's series about Aloysious and the witch coven in New York. I shrieked so loudly with laughter at one point that my son thought the house was on fire. The sex was hot as lava, just like we expect from Lain. Highly recommended!

I was waiting anxiously for this book, my favorite in the series and it really blew my mind! Al's story is the best on the series so far. The story had some angst that made me cry a lot especially in the last part, but also had so much love, sacrifice and magic that made up for it. Simply, this is the sweetest magical love story ever written. Now, the book gets even better if we added the wonderful narration of Mr Graves, especially if we hear the 3 books one after another, to fully enjoy the evolution on the story, the captivating performance and the way he managed all the characters and brought them to life. This story beautifully closes this captivating tale of magic and love. I hope the author revisited this world in future books or series, because 3 books just are not enough to cover all the adventures the characters could have. Loved every single minute so much!
