You are called to 'go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation' (Mk 16:15). Now, you are invited to discover what evangelization means today through 12 richly insightful lectures from award-winning church historian and theologian C. Colt Anderson.

You will explore the four foundational questions underlying Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI''s calls for a new evangelization: What is evangelization? How is the new evangelization related to the old evangelization? Whose responsibility is it to evangelize? How does a person become effective at evangelization?

In doing so, you will discover how the term 'evangelization' has been understood throughout the history of the Church from the Apostolic Age to the present. Dr. Anderson will demonstrate how significant figures such as Augustine, Gregory the Great, Peter Damian, Bernard of Clairvaux, Bonaventure, and others worked to move people to a more engaged and apostolic form of life. You will explore the relationship of evangelization to spirituality, penance, preaching, and culture. As the series proceeds, you will learn useful strategies for becoming effective at evangelization within our media-saturated, postmodern cultural context.

If you wish to learn more about the history and power of evangelization, this captivating series is for you.
