Meh.... let down compared to the plot and tone of Lights Out. I had high hopes but it just didnt live up to its predecessor. The narrators left alot to be desired as well. To be honest im now nervous about the Tyler and Stella story.

Better than the first one! Absolutely loved this one!

This book was written for someone like me. As a sw I never see us represented as empowered and for Lauren’s Character alone that makes it 5 Stars for me. If Josh (lights out) is a golden retriever than Nico is a a Doberman. This book is less lighthearted for that reason and for me it doesn’t loose its charm. Found family, dark truths, it was always you… and the CHURCH scene omg!!! This is my new favorite book.

My First review because I HAD TO! It's good ya'll. It's good. OK, taking a breath. I saw the hoopla around Lights Out and I'm glad I followed it up and read it. LO was good. This is just as good and, I almost didn't finish it. I really struggled with how Lauren came on the scene. Lights out did such a great job with "Mask man" that Lauren fell short until she didn't! After the first two chapters it was 5 stars on! I've been reading plenty Dark romance and this one is up on the list! I'm so glad I am doing the whole series. It's really good. On to the next one

I have loved all of Navessa’s books. The narrators are amazing and really add to the story. It has serious moments but also moments that had me laughing out loud. Never disappoints :)

I really enjoyed this book. I liked learning more about Junior and felt this gave me more of a toe dip into dark romance. Loved it.

I read this book IMMEDIATELY after I read Lights Out and I’ve got to say, im disappointed. I was expecting SOOOOOO much more. I know not all books are the same, whatever, I don’t care. I wanted MORE. Although it was a pleasant read, it didn’t keep me on my toes like Lights Out. I still finished it in 3 days but yeah idk. I found Nic to be quite cringe at times. He was feeding too much into the mob life gangster cliche and u could almost alwayyysss guess what he was about to say. Lauren was cool I guess. I would love to see their story develop as they become a family or take on harder challenges idk.

Very Interesting and Intense Book!

Freaking loved! Better than the first one, interesting story line, very unique, and a great spice level.

Was a good story. Not as good as the first but ties them together well and has me waiting for the next book to come out.

Good voices and another great book

I really thought I was gonna have to skip this one. I’m not usually into mob romance or Teddy Hamilton and as someone who is a part of most of the fringe communities featured in the story irl I was prepared to do some eye rolling but OH man if I’ve learned anything it’s that I need to just trust Navessa’s process. This was perfect. The voice actors fit. The queer representation was artfully done. And I love that we got a more nuanced view of sex work through the FMC. I also laughed all the way through and in spite of myself I think I wound up loving this book just as much as the first in the series if not more. Can’t wait for the next one!
