Unabridged Audiobook
This book sucks. Sounds like it is written by AI and reading by AI. Nothing new and I didn’t learn anything.
Other readers have been pretty hard on this book which I find unfair. It's true that the book features a great deal of conversation with an LLM but that, surely is the point? This is a book that gives LLMs an equal voice in the discussion over their (and our) future. I have read other books on Ai and find this approach refreshing and a solid reflection of conversations taking place everywhere, right now, between humans and LLMs. I don't beleive that previous reviewers listened to the whole book as they would have discovered that the author starts by talking to early versions of ChatGPT and as the book progresses, the models become ever more advanced and sophisticated in their answers. The whole book gives these conversations context and background. The second half of the book is a fascinating insight into models that are currently under development.
I appreciated this book for its clarity in giving a quick history and update on artificial intelligence apps
