Unabridged Audiobook
I really enjoyed this book. With the invention of kindles and online reading apps I don't think libraries play such a big role in people's lives like it once did but if my library was like this one I would be making a return visit. There was so much going on there, besides the murder, that it remained entertaining with the addition of the library cat and interesting all the way through. Then you add in a murder or two and I have found another happy place I can escape too. I liked the characters, the staff and the patrons and with the well written story it was easy to picture the goings on at the busy library. Most cozy mysteries has the main character leaving there businesses to be run by staff while they run around asking questions of suspects but that is not the case here as the mystery was worked well into the story, with most of the action and clue gathering taking place at the library. I just really enjoyed this book and I am off to start the next book. Ann's life revolves around her job as a librarian. Every day is different from the last she could be hosting story time for the little ones one moment and rescuing stuck cats the next. So when one of the patrons set her up on a blind date with her grandson she decides it might be just what she needs. That is until she finds his dead body. It seems like she had a lucky escape and not many of the library patrons have a nice thing to say about him but when the new police chief starts looking at her elderly professor Ann can't help but look into the matter. Can she find his killer? I liked the narrator. She gave all the characters there own unique voice making the story come alive in front of my eyes. I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
