FROM THE CREATOR OF THE HIT TELEVISION SHOW THE KILLING, “a full-throttle thriller in the tradition of classic Stieg Larsson” (A.J. Finn).

IF YOU FIND ONE, HE’S ALREADY FOUND YOU

A psychopath is terrorizing Copenhagen.

His calling card is a “chestnut man”—a handmade doll made of matchsticks and two chestnuts—which he leaves at each bloody crime scene.

Examining the dolls, forensics makes a shocking discovery—a fingerprint belonging to a young girl, a government minister’s daughter who had been kidnapped and murdered a year ago.

A tragic coincidence—or something more twisted?

To save innocent lives, a pair of detectives must put aside their differences to piece together the Chestnut Man’s gruesome clues.

Because it’s clear that the madman is on a mission that is far from over.

And no one is safe.

I really enjoyed this book ... very well written and performed ... I cool chance of pace from what I’m used to with American writers ... the atmosphere just feels different ... not only cause if the location and the names ... but the general feel ... i caught myself imagining all the white snowed covered landscapes ... and almost feeling the emotional coldness of the entire situation ..... even the warm moments felt cold for some reason :) . A must for any police procedure fans ...

I was actually really surprised that I enjoyed this book so much. It only took a chapter or two to grab my attention and I loved it! The narrator did a great job with the different voices, especially the gruff sounding detective, The only (slightly) negative comment I have is that, being an American, it was slightly difficult to keep the names of the characters straight. Not many Bobs, Jims, or Cindys in Denmark, I guess, but you know how us Americans are, thinking the world revolves around us, lol! Anyway, great book and storytelling. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The book was phenomenal and continued to keep me guessing. I loved how it was able to tie up every storyline so flawlessly and smooth. I wish there had been a little more variety in the narrators voice but other then that the over experience was amazing!
