Summary
Opposites attract in this moving #1 New York Times bestseller of love lost and found between a medical student and the man who captures her heart.Travis Parker has everything a man could want: a good job, loyal friends, even a waterfront home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life - boating, swimming , and regular barbecues with his good-natured buddies -- he holds the vague conviction that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is, until Gabby Holland moves in next door.

Spanning the eventful years of young love, marriage and family, THE CHOICE ultimately confronts us with the most heart-wrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

I thought it was a good summer book. It lacked some the character/storyline sophistication that most of the Sparks books hold. If you love the N.C. Coastline then I wouldn't pass this one up.

Fast listen the twist is too quick first half of the book is better than the second half. The woman voices are a bit much

Great beach read! The narration was good, though the female voices were a bit much. But overall great.

OK story. I enjoyed it for a long car trip, but if I had been reading the paperback it probably would have been hard to get through. Not my favorite Sparks book, but not bad either.

Dreadful book. Probably a good romance novel? Ladies? I loved "The Longest Ride" and thought this book would be good, but it was not. Broken up by flurries of inbred guitar/piano music straight out of "Deliverance." Hopefully it's a case of a script for an episode of "General Hospital" getting crossed in the mail with a respectable novel. The narrator certainly did portray the characters well, probably recorded it when he wasn't handing out orders to customers at the Jack in the Box drive-thru window.

Nicholas Sparks always is a great, easy read (or listen to)! This one was on the more predictable side of things. Even the twist at the end was a little forced. However, I liked it. The narrator was great and nice to listen to. ;)

My first audible book and it was great. Im a fan of Nicholas Sparks although his last few books were too great to me. This book made me remember of why I fell in love with his writing.

Great story ! Easy to follow audibly. The voices of the characters were not droning on. The plot was interesting and Sparks always does a good job involving emotions.

Wasn't the worst book I've ever read; nor the best.

Absolutely loved this book!! The music during the story was a little hard to get used and at times it made it difficult to hear what the narrator was saying but all in all I loved it!!! If you are a fan of Nicholas Sparks then I would definitely recommend it!!

Loved this book. I found the musical interludes as part of the audiobook a little odd - making it difficult to hear the narrator sometimes.
