After losing her job, Lucie Brown returns to her home village of Winterbourne, only to discover that everything she ran away from a decade ago is still waiting there for her. Hoping for a distraction while she figures out where she is heading next, she takes a Christmas job as an elf at nearby Winterbourne Hall.

Frances Delaney, the CEO of The Winterbourne Hall Trust and granddaughter of the late owner, the Marquess of Brackley, is under pressure to deliver a flawless festive season while trying to care for her mother. An interfering Christmas elf is the last complication she needs, and yet she may be the only person who can help.

As Lucie is drawn into Frances's world, what begins as a temporary escape sparks a connection they both struggle to ignore. But with responsibilities and ambitions pulling them in different directions, will their moment fade away with the snow, or will they discover that some endings are really just beginnings?
