Unabridged Audiobook
I loved this book! The pacing is much better than the first, there’s lots of action, and we get introduced to a lot of wonderful and well written secondary characters. Moreover, I love that Charissa includes multiple well written queer characters who don’t feel tokenized or like she’s just trying to hit a DEI quota. Further, Charissa really knows how to strike the perfect balance between romance and spice. Lastly, I can’t give this book a five on account of the male narrator. If this book wasn’t so good, it would be unbearable. I feel like I’m listening to the really old internet video, “A Dramatic Reading of a Real Breakup Letter.”
