From bestselling author Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquleaure. In the traditional folktale of 'Sleeping Beauty,' the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty's complete and total enslavement to him…as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience.

Certainly not erotica, more about spanking and punishment. I couldn't finish this book

"The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty" was the first erotic novel I ever read and enjoyed. So far, I have yet to come across a title that holds a candle to this series. If you like to read about bondage, S&M or just sex in general this book is captivating. It brings the reader into a world totally immersed in sexual energy, cover to cover and at the same time, you come to feel for and empathize with Beauty in her plight.

Ending was horrible the writer did nothing to keep me interested. It was the same thing over and over! Ugh! I wanted them to get revenge! If revenge is being sent to the townspeople.... lame!

Not erotic. Pure waist of money! I could. Not finish it

If you want erotica, don't buy this book. If you're into sadism, violence, pain and degradation, this might be for you. After taking a few pages to establish the premise, there is literally violence on every page thereafter. The dialogue is nonsensical and extremely repetitious. There is no plot to speak of. The actual sex scenes are few and far between and most of them feature violence. Above all, the book is boring.
