Unabridged Audiobook
Loved the book and 3 untruths. Only down side is chapter 9 discussion on social justice. Authors tend to violate untruth of good v evil by saying history is on their (liberal) views. Chapter 9 doesn’t really add anything to their argument anyway so why is it in there?
Haidt has done some good books. He’s an intelligent guy and there are many things in this book that I agree with but this was not as good as some of his other works. Lots of words to say little. A lot of things that could have (and should have) been said were not. The gist is that America is raising a bunch of babies and the liberal sect is triggered into riots because the conservatives do stuff to make them crazy.
Just another fantasy rendition of a Manichean world
Excellent, well documented review of changing atmosphere on campus and beyond. Highly recommend for parents of college-bound and younger children!
Fantastic analysis of what is going on in our country.
This book helps explain our era's baffling social discord -- not only rioting and looting of private property, but the pervasive cancel culture that seeks to silence and "de-platform" anyone who disagrees. If we're to recover the American Idea -- that people from differing backgrounds and beliefs can come together to forge a freer and fairer society -- more people should read this book and follow the prescriptions at the end!
Fantastic and concise insights, with an accessibility level that allows me to recommend it to people I know who might not be so familiar with these issues.
wonderful wise and thought provoking!
