Summary
In the extraordinary Worldwar tetralogy, set against the backdrop of World War II, Harry Turtledove, whom Publishers Weekly has called the 'Hugo-winning master of alternate SF,' wove an explosive saga of world powers locked in conflict against an enemy from the stars. Now he expands his magnificent epic into the volatile 1960s, when the space race is in its infancy and humanity must face its greatest challenge: alien colonization of planet Earth.

Yet even in the shadow of this inexorable foe, the United States, the Soviet Union, and Nazi Germany are unable to relinquish their hostilities and unite against a massive new wave of extraterrestrials. For all the countries of the world, this is the greatest threat of all. This time, the terrible price of defeat will be the conquest of our world and perhaps the extinction of the human race itself.

I really looked forward to the follow up of the original three Worldwar books. Hoping that these would be just as good if not better than the first three. However what a major disappointment I was in for. The narrator was horrid! He hadn’t listed to the first three books on tape and changed the pronunciation of several of the characters names! The narrator also thought it would be cool to make the Race sound like lizards by dragging out the “S”s in all the words. The narration was a major failure and my 5 year old daughter would’ve been better at it! The book was bad as well. The characters do not act as they use to. Mordecai for example telling the race he had an explosive metal bomb? Really! He wouldn’t have done that! There are many things that the author pulled a 180 on. So disappointing that I stopped listening for several months than when I was really bored, I started listening to again. Just a moving disaster on wheels! If u read the first three books, stop there! Do not pass go and do not collect $200 to read the next three. You will regret it. I did!
