Unabridged Audiobook
Another excellent read by O’Reilly and crew (as always). This book ads to the prior particular titles featuring several of the Presidents in depth. Enjoy it!
It was improved over other books by the same authors that I have listened to. Why you might ask - because the narrator WAS Not Bill O'Reilly. He is a poor narrator. I avoid listening to books that he narrates.
Spoiler: Martin Dugard thinks Joe Biden is one helluva President, and has Trump as one of the worst presidents of all time. Biden is “well meaning” and Trump is “a liar”. So if you’re thinking that because this is a Bill O’Reilly book it will be a conservative minded look at the President’s, think again. In fact, Martin Dugard confesses to be a California liberal. Just thought you should know that before you purchase something because it’s got a well known conservative’s name on it.
I was really enjoying it and then when they shifted to opinion vs fact on the Trump presidency it made me question: How much of the previous narrative was infected with opinion?? And then Dugards assessment of another man’s level of Christianity being assessed by how he handled the Holy Bible? Cmon man. I regret paying one dime for this and now question the previous 8 times I purchased Tomes with this hypocritical author. . I will not be buying any future books from these “historians”.
really good but picked up on a lot of factual mistake, should check facts better.
All good until Mr Dugard gave his biased opinion on Biden and Trump.
Well written
Great informative book
Really good narration of a thoroughly entertaining book. Highly recommended.
Learned alot of things I never knew. I liked it!
An interesting look at all the Presidents - worth listening to again to retain the information.
Decent enough listen. They cover all of the presidents so they don't spend a lot of time on each one. No rankings or grades. If you've listened to or read any books about the presidents there isn't a ton that's new here and actually some important stuff that's missing, but with limited time to spend on each I understand why. I personally believe some of our "Lesser Presidents" were actually some of the best. Cleveland and Cooledge for example. But they didn't get us into any sexy wars, push a grand societal plan on the country, or ignore the constitution to "help the folks" so they don't seem to be held in much esteem by the authors. The difference is subtle, and they do tend to stick to historical facts rather than opinion.
Dreck.
