Summary
Garrett Wilder is rich, famous, and totally bad for me. After one night that ended with me wanting to punch him in his face, the self-absorbed rock star has become a permanent fixture in my life . . . whether I like it or not.

Now I'm forced to see him every day, and that shield I put up to protect my heart is quickly crumbling to the ground. I've gone from hating him to craving him. And the scariest part is that he feels the same.

He wants to know me.
He wants to own me.
He wants to corrupt me.

And if I'm not careful . . .
I just might let him.

Contains mature themes.

The narrator was good and the storyline was okay. Some improvements that could be made: the heroine is so scared of everything that it’s cringeworthy how focused she is on issues she never talks through. The hero is such a pain in the a$$ that I almost put it down several times. He’s the anti-hero that the author didn’t unpack any redemption around. He went from a womanizing drunk to being in love with someone he knew for years without demonstrating how his character was redeemed to change his ways. He didn’t even fire the assistant after finding out she purposely kept him from his daughters surgery. Or even after she kept insulting the heroine meanwhile he’d told her to stop so often. His character was lame and not very impressive or swoon worthy at the best of moments. Having the written male perspective intermittently could do a lot to resolve this. Lastly, the arc was kind of lame. I just didn’t feel the character evolution or the fight for the resolution of their issues. While I kept listening, I almost put it down several times before reaching even 1/3 of the way through the book.

When a book makes me cry, it’s gotta be good! I loved it.

i really liked this book. the only things i did not like were that the author never really explained what Gwen went through in the past that put her so down. You can assume but that's pretty much it. Also, I wished the story were written in a dual pov. There were times where it wouldn't been nice to see what Garrett was thinking or feeling when he wasn't in the scenes with Gwen. His character was so interesting and it would have been nice to find out why he all of a sudden wanted to change his lifestyle from the partying and things of that nature. Why he was on the balcony that fateful night? Other than that, it was a really good read.
