I didn’t like any of the characters…all very one-dimensional. And the story was just not very interesting. The narrator really bothered me. I’m not usually very critical, but everything about this book was annoying. I really don’t understand why others enjoyed it.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! I could not stop listening, so much suspense! Excellent narration and expression of different characters. I was so excited to get to the end only to discover that there is a second part that is not available

It took me a bit to get into it but I’m glad I stuck with it. Really good period story. The narrator took some getting use to. She is beautifully spoken which at times seemed odd for a lowly maid to speak in such a way. All in all enjoyed it so much I hope the second book is available soon as you are left hanging like every series book does.
