Court of Tricksters

S. L. Prater is an incredible storyteller! The world building is nothing short of magical. I'm on my 2nd listen to the series. Highly recommend for any slow burn romance fantasy lovers.

Loved the story it was engaging. The characters were cheeky and unforgettable. The book was well written with great world building and awesome characters.The narrators did a spectacular job at bringing the characters to life.I really enjoyed reading and listening to this book and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

I LOVE this duology! I own them as ebooks but the audiobooks are amazing and I love that I get to join Rain and Night in audio.

Court of Tricksters, the initial installment in S. L. Prater's Fae Tricksters series, gives us a different take on some of the Fae legends that we see over and over again. These new twists were a welcome change to freshen up old fashioned tales. The storyline was fast paced and very well written, filled with magic and mayhem, twists and turns, intrigue, subterfuge and even a murder or two. The characters are well developed and engaging. Night is everything a true mate should be, and Rain is the definition of a strong woman who is afraid of her own shadow. Ms Prater put the two together and let the sparks fly. Overall, despite ending on a serious cliffhanger, Court of Tricksters is definitely not one to be missed! Update: The audiobook is excellent, utilizing two voices to enhance the dual POV nature of the book. It is enjoyable to listen to and captivated my attention right from the start.

This is my first reread of the book (via listening), and the narrators were absolutely perfect for the vibe of this story! They really brought the MCs and the overall story + secondary characters to life! I cannot wait to listen to the next one!

I read the book before listening to this and it didn't change my opinion. I love the banter even more hearing it spoken then reading it The characters come to life when voiced outside my head and I really enjoyed listening to it. Absolutely one of my favorite books of the year. The story and characters speak to my soul in a way I feel I've been waiting for my whole life. I thought the narrators brought it to life beautifully! I loved the emotion that was put into Rain's voice, the snark that Bernard was given, and I melted every time Night said, "Do you dream of me?" I also appreciated the vocal variations given to the side characters. It always make listening easier when voices are differentiated since I can't see the paragraph shifts.
