Unabridged Audiobook
Narrator: Amanda Friday & Tyler Hyrchuk My Reading Speed: 1.5x Have I Read The Book Before Listening to the Audio? Yes Overall Audio Impression: I loved getting the chance to reread this book through the audiobook! I loved that we got both a girl & a guy narrator for it. I loved that the guy (Tyler Hyrchuk) did all the male dialogue, even when it was a chapter told from Felicia’s point of view, and that it was the same for when a chapter was being told from Gregg’s point of view that the girl (Amanda Friday) did all the female dialogue. I forgot about Felicia & Gregg’s best friends until the reread and how much they had a hand in getting Felicia & Gregg to face facts about their feelings for each other. I loved getting to go over those parts through the audio in addition to the other fun parts of this story! Favorite Scenes: not a date friend’s talking sense into the main characters Italian family Book Review: Reader’s Notes: – this story is a prequel for Savannah’s Getting Shipped! series, but can be read as a stand-alone – this is told from Felicia and Gregg’s points of view Review: This story I found to be slightly similar to My Big Fat Greek Wedding! It has the big family, everyone involved in everyone else’s business, and a family member wanting something different than what they are currently doing. (And of course there were a few internal cringe moments for some of the characters!) I really liked how Gregg wanted to take care of Felicia, even before really knowing her and that her past boyfriends didn’t. I also really liked how they both envisioned a family life together in the house Gregg picked (even though they weren’t dating at the time). It was cool to see their future wants aligned like that. Summary: Felicia is done being the only one interested in maintaining a relationship. When her boyfriend up and breaks up with her, she is ready to quit dating for awhile. That is until she meets an interesting restaurant owner at a friend’s bachelorette party. Gregg lives and breathes maintaining his parent’s restaurant business, he doesn’t have the time or the want to pursue a woman. But when someone catches his eye at an event he’s hosting, he’s interested in possibly changing that. It helps when Gregg meets her again as his realtor and they start spending more time together. But can Gregg maintain a relationship that Felicia is looking for when his whole life revolves around the restaurant?
