Unabridged Audiobook
I think by the time these were produced sword and sorcery and choose-your-own-adventures were already out of fashion. But I love the simplicity and innocense of the fighting fantasy series, and this series showcases that beautifully. The fact that it is audio drama gives it a more classy feel, and the fact that whoever wrote this knew what they were doing certainly helps. The voice acting is excellent. The previous four installments were really strong, but here there is a weakening for the first time. Its still good, but just not as good as the first four. Perhaps wisely the people who produced this saw that the story (at least as an audio drama of fantasy adventures) had run its course and stopped. But still enjoyed it, and cheered when it came to an end. If you are into RPG, big bold heroes and honourable scoundrels and miss the days when fantasy wasn't so angst ridden and dark these are a treat.
