Unabridged Audiobook
this was a great book but I should’ve read a physical copy because this narrator made the listen almost unbearable.
I couldn't finish the audio version, I will have to read a hard copy myself. story seemed promising , but the narrator was so bad. the exaggerated accents, the slurred speech, drawn out words, sometimes it was hard to differentiate who was talking. so disappointed to waste my credit.
Creep by Jennifer Hillier ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Narrator: Talmadge Reagan ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This audiobook had me hooked from the beginning. Sheila is a distinguished psychology professor has it all, a successful career and a fiancé that adores her. She just has one flaw, a secret, that no one knows about but her therapist. Morris, a retired professional football player due to injury and is now a wealthy and successful banker who had an unsuccessful first marriage and who has recently proposed to Sheila. Then there is Ethan, who is Sheila’s teacher assistant, and had managed to seduce her and carried on an affair over the last 3 months after pursuing her over the last year. After Morris proposes, Sheila breaks it off with Ethan and even thinks it is best to assign him to another professor. Ethan is not having it and has a downward spiral. The writing was remarkable and loved the different POVs. The characters had their own flaws which made them relatable. The storyline is chilling, suspenseful, tense, dark, shocking and I ate it up! The ending…the cliffhanger..was jaw dropping. Now I need to decide do I read the next book, Freak, or see if it has an audiobook?? If you like dark thrillers this is a must read. Narrator- I have to admit the narrator did okay. When she was giving Sheila’s POV, I was able to really get into. However when she was giving Morris or Ethan’s at first I cringed, then I got used to it but still wasn’t all in. I was just committed to the story by that point and couldn’t put it down.
not as good as the other Jennifer Hillier books I have read but still a great read
Loved it. Kept me wanting more.
I was entertained and interested in what would happen next. But the cheesy and sexist language was distracting, as was the narrator’s pronunciation of the fiancés name. (Mars? Morris?) Anyway, a mostly fun listen but no literary masterpiece.
I was in the major bing of Jennifer Hillier's books and hit a wall. I felt the characters where a bit one note in Creep but the Narration was unbearable.
