I enjoyed this and it had much of the usual things I enjoy about A.G Slatter's other books, rich world building and beautiful writing with a haughting air, a story that unfolds slowly and keeps you listening late into the night.Something about this book feels a bit less complete or polished to me than her others, I am not sure if it is because it is less an intimate personal story like the path of thorns and more grand fantasy with really high stakes beyond the happiness of our main character and a handful of others.overall i do rate this highly, while I don't like it as much as her other work it's still good and I am sure I will re-listen in the future.performance by the narrator is brilliant
