Brilliant! His characterizations take you as if you were present at each scene. Theater of the mind at its best. I'm hoping he does all four in the series. This is my absolute favorite fiction story of all time.

The GREATEST Author/Merlin story written in present day. The four books that make up series are ALL engrossing. You are taken to a Britain shaped and just as quickly left by Rome. Merlin is far more then a finger twitching mage. Author would be NOTHING without all that Merlin gave to him. I have read (before audio apps) this series again & again, & again. When I discovered the series on an audio app, it was the second book/s I bought & have been enjoying every since.
