This series has become one of my favorites to listen to repeatedly. I love the contrast and friendship between all of the characters. I also enjoy the humor weaved throughout the series .

Is it the best written mystery series I’ve ever read? No. Is it a little silly? Absolutely. But that’s what makes it so charming. It’s an easy read ( or listen, I suppose) made entertaining by the capable narrator. I typically read pretty brutal mystery/thrillers but have needed a break from the heaviness of the world. This series is truly the cupcake of the mystery genre being as light and fluffy as Fairytale Cupcakes butter cream frosting with enough murder and espionage to keep it interesting. At first I thought it was a little too simplistic and derivative, but I quickly found myself caring about the characters. If you like mystery but don’t want any graphic scenes, and also don’t mind a little predictably, you’re sure to enjoy the Cupcake Bakery Mysteries

I really liked the character development. happened to be very fond of serieses that come in bundles because I can get more from my buck but it's not just about that. I mean come on think about it? hello what is my name. just being honest I like the character development I even kind of like the fact that the narrator has a lisp kind of makes it fun it's a happy read and I do it when I really need to relax and stop thinking about negative s*** oops I said that s*** word sorry. no not sorry. and I like that it makes me laugh.

I gave up after book 2. Which was really took bad. I like it up until the end of book 2 then when I started ready book 3 I stopped. I was over the characters.

A well-written, up-beat, "escape" series! Listened to first 3 & appreciated Audiobooks bundling! Need a harmless "escape from reality" - give Jen McKinlay a whirl!

I'm from Arizona, so I could visualize the areas and kinds of people that reside there. I drive 3 hours per day for work so it was a good listen, flowed nicely and the narrator used a different voice for each character.

I really enjoyed this series and look forward to more!

This is a great way to escape into light easy entertaining listening! I'm usually deep into the covert black-op special missions or serious whodunnits. I came across this series and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the characters and moved on to the next three books in the series. Great writer and narrator. Kept my attention fully throughout!
