Unabridged Audiobook
This audiobook sounds like it was written by an alien who learned English from fortune cookies and then read aloud by a confused GPS. The narrator’s tone shifts wildly—sometimes robotic, sometimes oddly aggressive, always wrong. Every sentence feels like it was run through a blender set to “almost English.” At one point, a character solemnly states, “We must go quickly before the time of lateness arrives.” Inspiring. The dialogue is so unnatural that I started questioning if I, too, had forgotten how to speak properly. Would I recommend it? Only if you enjoy the sensation of your brain slowly rebooting itself.
