Unabridged Audiobook
Well done. Audio was amazing
First Thomas Putnam…you need to catch these hands sir. You are WILD for that, you are a terrible man sir. Have a lot of nerve also creating the gallows secret society. Sarah….girl we both knew they wouldn’t listen. You had a s*** life and s*** luck. But you are one hell of a woman. Fierce and stuck to what she knew was true. I read this as an audio and it was damn good. First, I’m an absolute sucker for Sebastian York. As much as I didn’t like Thomas, Sebastian was fantastic. I believe this is the first time I’ve listen to Amy Hall and absolutely loved it. The fierceness, devastation, and rage she portrayed in her voice was top tier. Thoroughly enjoyed this book
Very hard going to start with. Had to listen to the end to find out what happened to the main characters. It was a VIP listen so like to give them a chance.
This was okay, but to me it didn't really provide me with anything surprising? I did love how well the audio was done though!I will warn that this is not a HEA and to make sure you check your TWs as there are some heavy themes in thisI truly hated the MMC in this because the whole time he was absolutely terrible to literally everyone around him as it suited himThe FMC was okay but I wished she would've fought back in some wayOverall, I liked the writing and having the background, but it's not exactly a must-read
From the Hidden Pages Damnation is a powerful and haunting prequel to the Gallows Hill Series, delving into the hidden history behind the Salem Witch Trials. Katelyn Taylor’s masterful use of old English phrasing and word choice transports you fully into the 1600s, making each page feel like a genuine artifact of the era. The prose is not just beautiful, it’s immersive, grounding the story in the darkest corners of history. The narration elevates the tale to another level. Amy Hall and Sebastian York don’t just perform, they unravel the tension, secrecy, and heartbreak of the Witch Trials with voices that truly bring this old world to life. Their performances capture both the dread of judgment and the tenderness of forbidden love, making the tragedy of a witch and her lost child unforgettable. Although Damnation takes place before the main trilogy, I strongly recommend reading it after finishing the Gallows Hill Series. The emotional weight and hidden connections carry far greater impact once you’ve already immersed yourself in the trilogy’s world.
Duet narration: Amy Hall & Sebastian York There’s a thin line between love and hate, and this story lives right on it. I went in knowing my hatred for Thomas Putnam would burn, but the way he chipped at Sarah with fleeting moments of kindness almost tricked me. Almost. In the end, the rot in his heart was impossible to ignore. Amy Hall gave Sarah Good such depth and quiet strength that I felt every injustice and heartbreak in her voice. Sebastian York embodied Thomas Putnam with chilling precision, capturing his false charm and the darkness beneath it. Their duet performance pulled me even deeper into the tragedy of Salem. Sarah Good. The world failed her. She was dealt a cruel, merciless hand, and yet she never gave in, never let evil stain her soul. That broke me more than anything. She deserved so much better. Did I walk away with closure? No. But maybe that was never the point. Maybe the point was to leave me seething, haunted, and despising the forefathers of Gallows Hill more than ever. And if that was the mission, consider it accomplished.
Damnation by Katelyn Taylor is a Gallows Hill prequel novella that I listened to on audio narrated by Amy Hall and Sebastian York. Katelyn did a great job grabbing me from the first page and I couldn't wait to see how everything would play out. I really enjoyed getting Thomas. Sarah, and Thomas III points of views. It really brought the story to life. I will definitely be checking out the Gallows Hill trilogy. Sebastian and Amy did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the
Damnation by Katelyn Taylor is a prequel novella to The Gallows Hill Series. This story is set in 1692 in Salem, MA, during the Witch Trials. Queen Katelyn herself has done some serious research on this historical period. Not only is the history accurate, but even the language used is of the era. Let's talk a little bit about the characters of this story, Thomas Putnam is a man in power with a family, he is the stereotypical man of that era, a self-proclaimed rigorous man, a puritan. He is unhappy in his marriage, so his eyes wander to Sarah Good who is the town begger, a brilliant healer. Her husband is just a simple POS. While the romance of this story takes place, the witch trials also begin and the true colors of our MMC start showing. I have absolutely loved and devoured this like cotton candy! Katelyn Taylor is a goddess when it comes to writing, from world building, to characters, and spice. She is amazing at transporting you into the world and time, living all the emotions and turmoil next to these characters. Audiobook: narrated by Amy Hall and Sebastian York they nailed this performance, pulling us into the story and allowing us to live the events thru a portal in time. Their voices are absolutely incredible and extremely suitable for this characters! Blue Nose Audio all the praise for your team of the most amazing brilliant people who work and deliver every time a masterpiece!
