Unabridged Audiobook
I loved this one. It had all the things I love: humor, a little dark (mmmm kind of grey), and an adoring MMC. Kiernan and Indie have a moment then are parted for about a year. Then…boom Kiernan is her new boss. I can’t deny that I love that forbidden “boss/employee” trope. Is Dead to Sin a bit instalovey? Yes. That’s my jam. No third act break-up. Witty banter, funny inner monologues, and sexy steam, Dead to Sin was a quick and dirty read that butters my biscuit. Definitely my new favorite of the series and I can’t wait to read whatever Genna comes up with.
5 3 5 That was spicy dark rom-com perfection. I laughed, I swooned, I cackled as the bad guy got what he deserved, just perfection *chef's kiss* TK and Beck definitely have some rivals for favorite Fate Trace couple, Kiernan and Indie were just so dang cute and sweet. Their inevitability was obvious from the start and I adored how obsessed they were with each other. As always, Genna got me with that third act. Sneaky sneakerson.... Just when everything feels calm and perfect, she kicks your feet right out from under you and your left with some heavy whiplash. Kiernan’s clean up was the best though, I cackled as he drove away.I can't believe Fate Trace has come to an end, but what a way to go. I'm so excited for her upcoming projects though and can't wait to see what she has in store for us.I got to reread this one via audio and absolutely loved it all over again. Avery Reid was so perfect as Indie and I adored this fun, quick listen.
