VP of Student Affairs Cassandra Sato has a desk full of problems on top of that, including a student advocacy movement gaining steam and an administration that would rather it just go away. And Cassandra, freshly transplanted from Hawai'i, still can't crack the code of what to wear in a Nebraska November.

Then a Deaf Studies student's family history project turns up something nobody wanted found, and days later, she takes a bad fall of her own. Someone on campus is willing to bury the past twice, and Cassandra isn't buying the timing.
