Another daring adventure in the west! The baddies stop the train carrying thousands of dollars, unknown to them, Deadwood Dick was a passenger. Dick got a few people to make a rush for the bandits, knowing that they outnumbered them. However, the moment things got hot, they all became cowards and took refuge in the train again. Deadwood Dick was in a dangerously hard place, but managed to get back to the train himself. He rebuked them, but some blamed him for risking their lives. In the meanwhile, dynamite blew up the section of the train with the money. Having secured their loot, the bandit captain’s first move was to go take Deadwood Dick prisoner. From there, the rest of the men having been sent away, between the two of them follows a great deal of bargaining and the one with the upper hand changed back and forth at fairly regular intervals. The twists and turns in the book and the concern if this will be Deadwood Dick’s last moments keep the reader’s attention. If you like tales of the west, Deadwood Dick is your man! The readers, especially the gentleman, read excellently.
