Excellent for classroom book clubs. Relevant topics. Good ending.

I like the book. The narrator was on and off. Sometimes the switch in tone from a character voice to narrator was off and somewhat annoying. And I can't help but feel that the female voicing by a male, sounds kinda mocking at times. Especially S.J. maybe don't do voices or have a male and female... I recognize the effort put in tho.

I had to read this book for my english class. I loved the story, discussing the themes and ideas of racism, prejudice, and bias made me think more critically our society.

I really enjoyed this book. I didn't know what this was about and read it for a book club, but now I want my 15 year old son who was also born in Atlanta to read this book. I enjoyed the narration as well.

Definitely a good book and the breakdown was spot on regarding black people daily struggle. Loving while black and how it is fitting in this world.

Nic Stone has gained a fan. This was a change of pace for me, as I don’t usually read YA, but I really enjoyed this book! Dear Martin explores the events that lead up to the devastating loss of Justyce’s high school best friend. Along the way, Justyce wrestles with how to deal with life's challenges the way that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would have, while also attempting to navigate his complicated love life (this subplot admittedly gave me the warm fuzzies). I know there are still many people who don't "agree" with the content of this book and think it's based on fallacies and exaggerations. First-hand experiences told by people like me still do not help these individuals see that we're not exaggerating; racial profiling is unfortunately a real thing and it needs to be addressed. Dion Graham did a great job narrating as usual. He really helped me get invested in the characters!

Excellent storyline! Stone really captured the struggle so many of our young black men deal with daily.
