Unabridged Audiobook
Perhaps listening to the entire twelve hours or so was a bit much but it was worth it. It engaged me for the duration and was really really impressive.
As a public policy director, I felt drawn to the approach of how media is impacting our democracy and while the bio for the book drives " the potential of our media and tech systems to be democratic and contribute to a just and transformative democracy"- I got a lot of pushback and opposition from the narrative of the book. The necessity of media is a fact of where we are in 2025, whether that comes from print, social, or transformative media, we can't deny the impact of various forms of media on our democracy and society as a whole and instead of driving away from that, I think it would be more beneficial to contribute to education on how to read various forms of media and fact check them independently.
