Unabridged Audiobook
Interesting, if a bit confusing. The facts are all here, but not enough evaluation as Wisner's professional career progressed. The writing is a bit stodgy.Never heard of this high-level CIA spook. His official legacy is that he served in the Navy.If there are other bios about him, it would be interesting as to just how he created a "new" section in the CIA which grew rapidly from a few employees to more than a thousand with multiple operations going on in post-WWII. Mr. Wisner did a remarkable job, even though he had a serious mental illness for which effective treatment was not well known at the time. So, good book. Worth listening to or reading.
