Unabridged Audiobook
This audio performance was wonderful. Michael Casale and Nathaniel Ames were perfectly cast and though not duet narration, they did great in their respective parts. I read this book when it was first released and loved it and the audio performances only made me love the story more. This is a low angst, nerd/jock, grumpy/sunshine, bi-awakening, college romance where Ren and Maddox meet when they have to work together for a class project. Maddox is on the swim team and ends up dealing with some toxic masculinity and hate slurs. There are also amazingly supportive side characters and it’s overall a fantastic story voiced by amazing narrators.
What an awesome experience, the narrators did a really good job with this story! I did a reread of this story with the audiobook and I would 100 % recommend it. The narrators are so fitting for the characters and they do the voice of the other so good! I really really enjoyed listening to this audiobook! ---- Story:I really liked this book. The characters were great and the whole friend group was so adorable. It’s the first book in a series, so I really hope we get to see more of this friend group soon. I will definitely read more by this author. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it. [potential spoilers removed]
Very enjoyable. Narrators did a great job. In the beginning, Maddox's internal thoughts about Ren were quite unlikable, but give him some time and he'll warm up very nicely! Oh yeah, "in charge Maddox" might just have some more suprises once they get behind closed doors.
