Unabridged Audiobook
Now I see how this novel got published - it is self-published by the author! I have never laughed so much at a "thriller" in my life! It is entertaining for its (unintended) humor, and for nothing else. Some examples: a young woman is held in a basement room, is bare-footed; her abductor leaves the room, leaving his boots in the room and the door unlocked. The narrator (i.e., the trapped woman) actually says that as she put her bare foot into the boot, she realized how unsanitary this was (!!) - she was trying to escape with her life - who would think of the "unsanitariness" of it?? Another one: the woman had not been fed by her abductor for several days but then he comes down and leaves her some lunch - she actually says to herself that the lettuce was brown around the edges - "but no matter'! There was more, and more. It was a freebee, maybe that was why it was offered. The narrator did her best with the material and managed not to laugh.
The story was engaging and pulled me right in. The ending was the perfect plot twist. It gave a detailed explanation for the madness and chaos. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
This book was painful and frustrating to get through. It was too much a Misery wanna-be. The only thing that made this book worth listening to was the ending. It
Interesting ending
On the edge of your seat for 4.5 hours at least.
Love it
