Abridged Audiobook
This is a true gem for fans of Dorothy Parker. Her wit and acerbic humor really shone through the fine readings done by all who performed. I couldn't wait to finish it !
Delightful and funny. The stories provide a comprehensive portrait of the author and her world. "The Game" was haunting and "Lady with the Lamp" was sad, but comic relief was sprinkled throughout. Especially humorous was "Diary of a New York Lady."
This held my interest; I even replayed some of the stories. Cynthia Nixon is an excellent narrator, providing just the right animation and cadence.
This collection of short stories displays the edgy and sardonic humor of a classic American author.
