Unabridged Audiobook
Maybe it’s because I really couldn’t stand the narrator that I didn’t like the story better. The narrator was unconvincing as an American and although her Celtic accents were fine, the main character’s voice was really annoying and I actually found the character annoying as well. Too many cliched phrases and side comments. Instead of anxiously awaiting any plot twists or solution to the mysteries, I was anxiously awaiting the end of the book!
Loved the murder mystery story & Kate’s personal story & the hint of romance. I enjoyed the Scottish accents, I suspect Ruth Urquart is Scottish as they were so good. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
A cozy mystery with an unusual premise. Easy to read.
Thoroughly enjoyed this.
I truly enjoyed the book, although I had to remind myself of that; the narrator was hard to get past in this book. The Scottish accents were amazing, the main character, not so much. I think if I continue on with the series, it would have to not be an audiobook, as I don’t think that I could listen to the narrator.
The narrator just didn’t feel like the right person for this story
Loved this story and will be listening to more from this author! The narrator has a unique cadence that leaves a bit to be desired but does all the accents well. Worth the listen regardless.
A comfortable mystery for rainy days or cold nights. I thoroughly enjoyed it and wanting more!
narrator was terrible could not get into the book so didn't finish it
enjoyable lazy book. thr narrator was very good.
I loved the setting and the story line was good. The book seemed to drag on in a couple of spots and I lost interest but I came back to it a few days later and I enjoyed finishing it.
Enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more of the series. The story flowed well and the characters came to life for me.
