Summary
Death, danger, and dirty dishes in Nightmare, Arizona

Her car might be fixed, but that doesn't mean Olivia Kendrick is leaving the town of Nightmare, Arizona, just yet. As she settles into her new life working at Nightmare Sanctuary Haunted House, Olivia still wants to know what Damien Shackleford really is, other than handsome, brooding, and a total jerk.

When the new dishwasher at the Lusty Lunch Counter is found drowned in a sink full of dirty dishes, Olivia's friend Ella is the main suspect. After all, the victim had been stalking her. Meanwhile, the arrival of a mysterious stranger will lead to an astonishing discovery about the diner owner's past.

Olivia will enlist her supernatural friends at Nightmare Sanctuary to help her track down the truth and clear Ella's name. At the same time, Olivia begins to hear a phantom voice from an abandoned mine at the edge of Nightmare, and it seems to be tied to the disappearance of Damien's father. Is Olivia tapping into her own supernatural ability, or is something sinister lurking in the old tunnels . . . ?

I enjoyed book two of the "Nightmare, Arizona Paranormal Cozy Mysteries" series as much as the first one. Olivia Kendrick decided to stay in Nightmare, Arizona a little longer. After a friend of Olivia's was accused of murder, Olivia had to utilize her sleuthing skills to try and find the real culprit. The inhabitants of the Nightmare Sanctuary Haunted House continued to delight me with their antics. I was entertained by the questionable characters that made an appearance in the city of Nightmare. I liked the unexpected twists. Petrea Burchard's narration was entertaining, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review which reflected my opinions.

I am just loving this series and I can't wait for more!! I loved the authors Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast Paranormal Cozy Mysteries and I was glad to see that she had come up with a new idea for a series and what an idea it is, so original but so much fun. A haunted house run by supernatural creatures is entertaining enough but then add in a murder and you have a dream, definitely not a nightmare and I am just loving it. There are a lot of characters, of both the humankind and supernatural kind and it makes it really interesting that not everybody knows about each other but I have to admit it is the characters working in the haunted house (the supernatural's ) that really make the series. I love how they have become a family and got involved in the investigation too, definitely a dream team. The mystery was good, I had an idea of who was responsible but I would never have come up with how the wrong people were being blamed. The main murder does get solved but there is also a long running mystery of what happened to the owner that you learn a little bit about with each book. I can't wait for the next book to find out more. I thought the narrator was amazing, one of the best ones I have heard lately. I loved the voices she gave the characters and even a few accents. It was a real pleasure to listen to and added with the great story defiantly be listening to it again. I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntary left this review
