Abridged Audiobook
Excessive use of fill words. The book could be condensed into one chapter. Not worth the effort. The author just churned out another book. I give it less than one star
This audio book is not the easiest to get through, but I believe it is a must listen for anyone in business. I download all the assignments mentions in the book. Planning on completing them soon and improve my business.
I love Michael Gerber. I love E-Myth Revisited. It was a game changer for me. I read the reviews on E-Myth Mastery and didn't listen to them, which was a mistake. I was hoping this book would dive deeper into the concepts of Revisited. IT DOES NOT. Enjoy Revisited and stop there.
I made it half way through the book and gave up. I am sure the author has a couple of good ideas if you are able to endure hours of endless nonsense to get to those ideas. I suggest the author writes one more book, "E-Myth - Without the Crap!" I'm sure it would be a fantastic, 15 minute audio book.
E-Myth Mastery compelled me to write my first review in 3 years of subscribing to Simplyaudiobooks. The author is incredibly self absorbed and clearly wrote the book for self promotion, versus the desire to help or advise. Most of his insight and recommendations are as easily found by a quick topic search of Wikipedia. He went out of his way to bitterly blame his franchisees and employees for his numerous lawsuits and financial troubles while exonerating himself.
You have to have listened to the EMyth Revisited in order to understand who Sarah is, which I did, but the story seems to not really get into better detail until the 3rd CD. Some good points of wisdom taken from the book, but overall, not worth 6 hours of listening time. Could have probably been condensed to a 1 hour audio to get the point across.
on and on. I agree with the reviews that the book droans on with too many details. It takes 3 CDs to get to chapter 2. A huge portion is taken up with a long and irrelevant introduction
This was wonderfully presented and demystifies the process very clearly. I learned a great deal. I began to realize that world-class is not necessarily "big"...probably the most important point for me.
I have not read the book- I was very surprised at the extensive dialogue the author uses in communicating the feeling of what is being expressed. I would be interested in actually reading the book to see if the points are much clearer- I had a difficult time getting through CD's 1-3. CD's 4-6 were much better, but only because he started getting to the point.
This book is simply self-indulgent. You are promised an expansion on the well-crafted EMyth Revisited book and instead presented with incessant stories.
Gerber has some excellent ideas overall, here is my breakdown of this part of the audio book. CD 1 & 2 can be summed up with the concept of: Work on your business, not just in your business. CD-1 = Unessary details CD-2 = Unessary details CD-3 = Great distinctions you will want to be exposed to. Tells listeners a systematic process of deploying positive change in your business.
I read the E-Myth Revisited and thought it was one of the best business books I had ever read (I still think that). However, I could not make it all the way through this CD set, because I feel that the overall tone sounds so NEGATIVE.
