Jack Reacher, adrift in the hellish heat of a Texas summer.

Looking for a lift through the vast empty landscape. A woman stops, and offers a ride. She is young, rich and beautiful.
But her husband's in jail. When he comes out, he's going to kill her.

Her family's hostile, she can't trust the cops, and the lawyers won't help. She is entangled in a web of lies and prejudice, hatred and murder.
Jack Reacher never could resist a lady in distress.

Another Jack Reacher adventure. Easy listening and a relaxing time spent.

A rather more cerebral Reacher, less action and more"mind games", a slightly different twist and none the worse for it. The narrator is as good as ever - how he does the " little girl" voices is a mystery.

  • Vanesa G.

I am a Jack Reacher fanatic and this was not the strongest of novels the narrator was good just the story not the best but still love this author and character

I found it a bit slow to start unlike previous Reacher but it did pick up the tempo and was a quality listen turned into a good story very enjoyable.
