Darkness falls… despair abounds… evil reigns… Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, have just saved the rebel state from destruction by the mighty forces of King Galbatorix. Now Eragon must travel to Ellésmera, land of the elves, for further training in the skills of the Dragon Rider: magic and swordsmanship. Will the king’s dark hand strangle all resistance? Eragon may not escape with even his life. . . .

A great book with a great story line. Kept me awake and entertained for hours in the car. I enjoyed every part of it! The narrator is fantastic as well. The characters' "voices" seem very realistic and are consistent through the whole series.

amazing!! All 4 books take you on an adventure and make you want to learn magic. I'm a 100% disabled veteran and have ptsd from 212 combat missions, these books have been therapy for me. I have the books and the books on tape, when the anxiety or anger hits I put the headphones on and then I'm no longer a vet sitting by myself trying to figure out how to deal with the difficulties of civilian life, I'm flying with Eragon into battle against the empire. I've also given the books as gifts and everyone i have given them to has become addicted to them. they are books for readers of all ages.

This has always been my favorite book in the series! Finally being able to put a voice to what I perceive as Oromis was very satisfying. I think the thing I love most about listening to this book is it allows you to fully concentrate on the relationship between teacher and student! And for having read this series countless times you really start to understand just how much Oromis cares for Eragon

sooooo good! the narrator is awesome! I love all his voices

It is a very nice story, similar to the Hobbit but even cooler. I also like the narrator because I think he did an amazing job telling the story.

I love these books so much, I remember reading them some of them in high school and buying the complete book set when the fourth an final book came out, for me the narrator could have been better in my eyes, I would have much rather ha the author himself read it simply because in his mind he had all the voices of all the character's set and I believe it would have been much better with the author reading it instead.
