Unabridged Audiobook
I both read and listened to this book on my library download. The author gives the reader an incisive and straightforward narrative of U.S. involvement in Vietnam prior to LBJ's escalation. Beginning with the Versailles Treaty of 1919, the author offers the reader the opportunity for counterfactual thinking, providing us at each fork in the road with the debates surrounding the choices made and the nascent possibilities of the situation. Anyone who reads this book will come away with a thorough understanding of the history that is covered herein.
