I usually like Jerry Jenkins but for some reason he didn't do well with this book. If you just take it as a story about a man who became a follower of Jesus and experienced trials it is good. But the timeline doesn't match Acts. I also can't believe that God gave him most of the text of the letters early on and he just copied later. That was beyond credulity. I stuck with it mostly to find out what happened to the woman and boy.
