Summary
In 1933 Maurice Wilson was a decorated but damaged WWI hero. With no reasonable use of his left arm and a severe case of PTSD Maurice wandered through life seeking direction and purpose. Though highly successful in business, he dreamed of doing something that would inspire the world. At 35 years old he decided on a goal. He he would fly a Bi-Plane from England to the slopes of Mount Everest, crash on the upper slopes and walk to the top and become the first person to stand on the summit of the worlds tallest mountain. His main obstacles were: he didn't know how to fly a plane, and he had no mountaineering experience. Learning to fly and then surviving on the mountain were inconveniences compared to the obstacles put up by the British government and the British mountaineering establishment. This is the story of inspiration, determination and naiveté. This is the story of Maurice Wilson.
