Unabridged Audiobook
This was a well-developed family drama. Lena, a successful lawyer who has spent her career standing up for civil rights and the LGBTQ community, and pretty early on we learn that she found out her own father was gay when she was a child and that her mum knew the whole time. Now that her mum has passed on and her father is living his authentic life, he wants to get married to the person he loves and has asked Lena to help plan the wedding. In doing so, Lena discovers that she may not have healed from her childhood, with the keeping secrets and trying to preserve her family image. I liked the multiple POV, it was easy to go back and forth and how Lena's love for her father shines through, even while struggling with accepting his role in her trauma. The narrator did a great job moving back and forth between times and characters and kept pace really well. Thanks to Tantor Media for the gifted copy.
