The Everywhen: Book Two of: Max and the Dream Time

Max thought seeing the future would help him protect the people he loves. He was wrong.

The Orb shows him The Everywhen, a quiet, terrifying place where tomorrow waits before anyone else knows it’s coming. Max sees Jamie’s future first. Then Mark’s. Then Randall’s. Every glimpse leaves him with the same impossible choice: say nothing and watch it happen, or change one small thing and hope the future does not notice.

At first, the changes are tiny. A warning. A delay. A lie told for the right reason.

Then Jamie begins to understand what Max is doing. She sees the power he has been hiding, and the cost he has been carrying. Max tells himself he is protecting her. Jamie knows protection can become control, even when it comes from love.

The more Max tries to save everyone, the more The Everywhen takes from him. Time slips. The present starts to feel less solid. And the Orb keeps showing him the one future he cannot bear to face.

Max can see what is coming. He still does not know how to stop it.
