Experiencing God – Inside the Wire is a powerful and unfiltered look at faith as it is lived behind prison walls. Written from more than a decade of ministry inside California’s prisons, this book captures what happens when the Gospel meets broken lives, long sentences, regret, and hope that refuses to die. These pages were not crafted in comfort—they were shaped inside chapels surrounded by concrete, steel, and men searching for meaning.

Rather than offering academic theology or polished sermons, Bob Morris speaks plainly and honestly. He does not claim to be a Bible scholar, but a fellow traveler pointing readers toward deeper reflection on Scripture. Each message invites the reader to keep their own Bible open, think critically, and encounter God personally. The focus is not behavior modification, but genuine heart transformation.

Through twenty messages written over thirteen years, the book explores themes such as forgiveness, pride, repentance, calling, grace, faith under pressure, and the reality of redemption. These reflections are grounded in Scripture and lived experience, revealing how God works powerfully even in places most people overlook or fear.

Experiencing God – Inside the Wire also challenges common assumptions about incarceration. It offers an inside look at the humanity, spiritual hunger, and struggles of incarcerated men, urging readers on the outside to see beyond labels and stereotypes. The stories and insights reveal that faith inside prison walls is often raw, sincere, and deeply transformative.

This book is for anyone seeking a more authentic, lived-out Christianity. Whether you are a believer, a seeker, or someone curious about faith in extreme circumstances, Experiencing God – Inside the Wire is a reminder that no place is beyond God’s reach—and no life is beyond redemption.
