Summary:

An extraordinary Lucas Davenport thriller from #1 New York Times–bestselling author and Pulitzer Prize winner John Sandford.

After the events in Gathering Prey, Lucas Davenport finds himself in a very unusual situation—no longer employed by the Minnesota BCA. His friend the governor is just cranking up a presidential campaign, though, and he invites Lucas to come along as part of his campaign staff. “Should be fun!” he says, and it kind of is—until they find they have a shadow: an armed man intent on killing the governor...and anyone who gets in the way.

This was the last book in the Prey series I hadn't listened to yet and it was well worth the wait. Loved it! As usual, Richard Ferrone nailed the narration once again proving why he is as good as there is.

It was a fun ride. John Sandford has done it again.

Excellent Book. It keep me anticipating what was going to happen next even though I knew who the bad guys were. Even the end was not what I expected but I liked it

Another great Lucas Davenport book and Richard Ferrone is a great narrator.

As I listened to Richard Ferrone narrate this book I thought, no one else could ever be Lucas Davenport. I could be given an audiobook with a blank cover - no information- three words in, I would know.. John Sandford- Lucas Davenport thriller. So well done. That said, I liked this novel. John and Lucas have done much better in the past- I'm chalking it up as a "bridge" book. Now we are crossing over to Lucas Davenport, US Marshall. Can't wait!
