The Family I Once Knew

The Family I Once Knew is a heart-pounding post-apocalyptic thriller that drags readers into a world shattered by chaos, where survival is written in blood and the bonds of family are tested like never before. Written by Fenix Sanders, this gripping tale follows a broken group of survivors—haunted by loss, driven by duty, and bound by an unbreakable oath to protect what remains of humanity.

When a devastating outbreak turns cities into graveyards and the infected evolve beyond mindless rage into terrifyingly intelligent predators, one family stands between hope and oblivion. From the scorched ruins of urban wastelands to underground tunnels teeming with silent horrors, every step forward is a battle against death, despair, and the crushing weight of the past.

At the center of it all is a mission: reach extraction, carry the cure, and honor the fallen. But as loved ones are torn away and new threats emerge—twisted, calculating, and more dangerous than anything they’ve faced—the survivors must confront not only the monsters outside but the darkness within.

Raw, emotional, and relentlessly intense, The Family I Once Knew is more than a story of survival—it’s a tribute to sacrifice, loyalty, and the enduring power of love in the face of annihilation. If you crave adrenaline-fueled action, deep character bonds, and a dystopian world that feels terrifyingly real, this novel will keep you on edge until the final, breathless page.
