Unabridged Audiobook
Please; a man reading a women's memoirs just does NOT "sell" the story line. Thankfully the audio loop does switch it up between the parts of the book and you do get a break from the male voice to a female voice for a period of time. Oh what a difference that makes! I know, it is difficult to get orators; and most are volunteers but please place a female voice where it should be if it serves such an impact to the story.
Why is a man reading a woman’s memoirs?
This was, without a doubt, the worst narration I have ever had the displeasure of listening to. I couldn't even finish the book. What a disappointment.
This was supposed to be a free book. No wonder why. And the Narrator didn’t help. Awful!
It was a good book and most of the readers were outstanding. One of readers was terrible tho. This person sounded like a minister and made me feel ashamed for listening to the book. Also when he read it didn't make much sense like he didn't know or understand what he was reading. That is the only part I would change
Fantastic words with eloquent descriptions. Awesome author. JEE
hated it. I wish I could delete it from my library so I never had to look at it again. Every time I see the cover as I scroll through it reminds me of how much I hated this book.
Horrible. I only wish I could remove this horrible book from my purchase list!
Worst narrating I have ever heard which put me off
This book is completely styled in the language type of the 1749 setting. A vivid view of the clothes, life and times of that era. The negative side of disease and trauma associated with this occupation is greatly diminished with focus on the physical and emotional elations. A great outcome with happiness throughout.
The reading of this book was terrible, it has actually put me off any future free books. No thank you to anymore background noises and laboured breathing.
The main character of this book is 15 years old. I was absolutely disgusting I expected a light hearted spicy story not a pedos fantasy.
The book was good and I liked it. I rated it a 4 for the 2 "male" voices used. The book was about a WOMAN telling HER story and the 2 "male" voices seamed out of place.
Very boring
I see people commenting on men reading female memoirs book, I didn’t mind, it was a free audio and it was great companion to my walks, thank you.
Truly Terrible. American readers mangling an English classic
Erotica certainly has changed since the mid-18th century when this book was written. I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I enjoyed the book but the changing of narrators all the time spoils the listening experience
Great book for its genre. Very well written. All the narrators are very good as well.
It was a great read. However I personally prefer only one narrator.
Open your mind and let your imagination complete the story. It does not hang on male or female storytellers.
