The Farnsworth Chronicles: Book 1

The Farnsworth Chronicles is a captivating series that follows the journey of Nicolas James Farnsworth (NJ). Born with spina bifida into a large, single-parent family in a big city where money is scarce, NJ faces unique challenges. When he starts middle school, he receives a laptop computer to assist with his schoolwork. However, upon turning on the computer, he encounters an artificial intelligence (AI) program named Rhineheart.

Rhineheart introduces NJ to a virtual reality computer world, where he gains skills that enhance his life in his wheelchair. Inside this alternate reality, NJ can walk, run, and play like other children, but he must also make sacrifices to maintain balance. The people he meets and the abilities he acquires transform him, leaving him forever changed when he returns to his real life and his true wheelchair.
